We understand your child is unique.
That’s why our pediatrics team is highly skilled in offering a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic services personalized especially for children, from infants to adolescents.
Focused on child- and family-centered care, we provide exceptional services to children in the fields of anesthesia, general surgery, neurology, cardiology, ophthalmology, emergency and trauma, orthopedics, endocrinology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, pediatric medicine, radiology, genetics and urology.
We know being in the hospital can be scary for your child and for you.
Our certified Child Life Specialists, uniquely trained in child development, are here to help.
They assist in calming fears and decreasing anxiety. From a pre-procedural tour to using gentle language, play and visual aids, they explain unfamiliar things to your child in a child-friendly way.
They’ll make sure play time, a normal part of a child’s life, continues to provide your child with comfort by offering developmentally appropriate toys and games and opportunities for creative and expressive play.
You’ll always be encouraged to actively participate in your child’s comprehensive care with members of the health care team.
You may even stay in your child’s private room during their visit in our Women & Children’s unit.
Take advantage of sleeping couches in each room, open visiting hours, a security system, free Wi-Fi, meals for parents and caregivers and a Play Room with activities, toys and a video game system.
Through your journey, our Child Life Specialist will be your go-to resource, here at the hospital and as you make the transition back home.
Rely on our team. Let us help you cope with life’s challenges.
